Rep Power: 0 | Buzzing bed troubleshooting I have a bed that every once in a while... starts a high buzz... turn off and on, its gone, and it only does it sparadocally, but never when I am troubleshooting, usually once or twice a day while a customer is in tanning. I have broken down the bed, cleaned top to bottom, changed all the 100w lamps and all phillips starters. I was thinking it was a starter that was getting stuck so I put all new starters. but its driving me crazy, not a big issue now that we just stop and restart and its fine, but I would like to find it and fix it.... any suggestions would be helpful |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Buzzing bed troubleshooting thanks guys, I checked the fans, they seemed to float nice, but it could be an internal bearing, anyone know of a good supplier for the pancake fans, cheapest I can find is about $30 bucks. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Buzzing bed troubleshooting Could be the contactor buzzing. This uses an electro-magnet to engage the contacts and if it doesn't engage squarely then it will buzz. That is why it goes away after you turn the bed off and back on. The contacts seat squarely. Replace the contactor. |

Without sounding dumb, It would be helpful if you could give me an idea of what it is and where it is located |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Buzzing bed troubleshooting thanks brian, then I assume it will be between the main power line coming into the bed and the ballasts, probably in the canopy of the unit. It would be so easy if I could just get it to buzz when I am there or even better, when I am in the bed |
