Relamp Sunvision 28LE (Lamp help?)

Hello Everyone
This is my first post here, but I've been a lurker for awhile. I'm looking to replace the original lamps in my bed. This is a home unit, isn't used commercially. I know questions about "the best" bulbs have been asked 10000's of times, I've probably read most of them. I did use the search function. Everyone seems to have a different opinion of what is best. So, I'll give the most information I can and hope for helpful responses. As I said, my bed is a Sunvision 28LE. It's a home unit with a 20 minute session timer. It originally came with Wolff Velocity lamps in it. I would like a replacement lamp that will cut the session time down if possible. I tan easily/don't burn. I was looking at the Wolff Bronze -S Twister lamps (28 lamps + starters for 370$), but people on this forum seem to think they're a waste of $. Maybe you guys could help me out with some good suggestions on what lamps will be my best bet and where to get them. I'm looking to spend less than 500$ and get a good bulb with lower than 20 minute session times if possible. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There are many lamps you can put in this unit, what state are you from. You need to make sure that you put a compatable lamp in it from the original lamp.

I believe the Bronze Twisters have been discontinued. The Velocity is a good lamp for that bed. Try upgrading to the Velocity Plus.

I live in Atlanta, Ga. Thanks guys for the quick responses. I got a quote for the Bronze -S Twister lamps from American Tanning Supplies (http://www.tanningbed.tv/) 370$ including shipping & insurance for 28 lamps + starters.

You are regulated in Ga. If you have this in a salon they must be compatable to the original lamp in the unit which you said was velocity. I don't show the Bronze S twister as a compatible lamp to the velocity. The velocity plus will work also.
There are many other lamps available.

Re: Relamp Sunvision 28LE (Lamp help?)

I don't have it in a salon so I'm not too worried about regulations. I just want a good lamp that will tan with lower session times than the original velocity lamps. Is it possible to lower my tan session times with different lamps or am I hoping for the impossible?

Could I step up to the Velocity Extreme lamps? Will the bed handle these lamps? I don't mind paying a little more for a better lamp.

Re: Relamp Sunvision 28LE (Lamp help?)

This is a higher UVB lamp which will give you more of a red look, but you can put any 100 Watt 71" lamp you want in there. Try the Cosmedico VLR TT. Very good quality lamp and has a little kick to it. You could run it for about 15 min. Some people go 20 min with them but I wouldn't. I thought you said this was in a home and you were putting it in a salon, thats why I was concerned about the compatability issues. Basically the question is, do you want a more of a bronzing lamp which I would recommend or do you want something that is a more immediate result lamp that will burn you or make you red.???
