Exclamation Disconnecting Beds???

I have 6 beds. I am removing 2. If I disconnect 2 from the hardwiring and secure the ends with electrical tape, will it disconnect all my beds? Each bed has a dedicated switch in the electrical panel. help please!

Good advice to use wire nuts and I'd even put some electrical tape around them just to make sure. It's also a good idea to turn off those circuit breakers at the panel.

Re: Disconnecting Beds???

anyone that does not know what a wire nut is should not wire anything. and yes these beds could have a 60 or 80 amp breaker at 240 volts ,this could easly kill.

Re: Disconnecting Beds???

Ummm, a 240 volt feed consists of two, 120 volt lines in this case. Doubtful that either leg alone could kill. Painful? Yes, if one comes in contact with either leg. A circuit with a 15 amp or a 60 amp breaker wouldn't really make the difference should someone come in contact with it. However, I'll agree that if he/she is not that familar with electricity, they should find someone who is.
