Rep Power: 0 | Sunvision 28LE-2F - Any Thoughts ? Hello, I'm thinking about buying an ETS Sunvision 28LE-2F for around $4,600 for a home tanning bed. Any pro's or con's to this purchase ? Should I upgrade to the Sunvision Elite 30-3F for another $1,300 ? It appears to be a lot more solid (hinging and etc.). Or....should I look at another brand ? Thanks |

In a salon, they are somewhat notorious for not being able to stand up to the traffic and use. $4300 seems like quite a bit for a home bed. For the level of bed you are getting (only 28 lamps) it seems you could go to a local salon and get a yearly membership for about the next 15-20 years and get better quality equipment and no wear & tear on your own electricity. Oh - and to spend an ADDITIONAL $1300 seems crazy, especially for ETS equip. That seems VERY high priced for an ETS 30lamp - even with the facials. It may be built better (more important in a salon application than home) but won't tan significantly differently. But - to each their own. If it was me, I'd stick with my salon, or buy a used one for much cheaper. There are many here in "buy/sell classifieds" and you could even go to salons near you to see if any of them are selling any off (putting in upgrade units). Good luck - |

But will you really use a bed that much, do you have more than just yourself tanning? Watch your teens, so that they don't over expose themselves. Tanning beds are like exercise equipment. Want it till you get it, use it one season and it sits. I sell my used beds to my clients who have actually tanned in my equipment. Usually around $1,000. They know what they are getting. I have 5 previous salon owners who tan with me. They like someone else doing the up keep. SO if you can justify the cost. go for it, but learn some tanning rules, don't overexpose yourself or tan somuch you look like leather. A salon is a controlled emviroment where the salon owner is looking out for you and your skin. Be as kind to yourself. GOOD LUCK |
