What do you think about a Solaris Speed 175

I am in the market for a good used tanning bed. I did find one. But, I would like to have someones oppinion on how good of a bed and tan can I get in a Solaris Speed 175. Is this a good bed? It is a used bed about 6 years old. In excellant condition! And the man wants 2 thousand for it. This bed has no facials, just 36 bulbs with about 500 hours left on them.. Thanks Tami

Not Bad for a home unit.

The lamps are only 100W & you should most likely change the lamps anyway, who knows truely how many hours are on them.

How many hours are on the bed total?

Re: What do you think about a Solaris Speed 175

Hi, I just found out that the bed has a total of 487 hours on it. He said that the bulbs are the original ones that came with the bed. I done know, but can an hour counter be set back? To me this sounds like very low hours on a 2000 Solaris speed 175 bed. He told me he was the second owner on this bed. He bought it in 2003 from a private owner that bought it new in 2000. Does this sound to good to be true? Thanks Tami

Sounds like a good a deal.
The hour meter can't be turned back but it can be disconnected.

If it was only used for private use then the hours could be very low.

I would still change the lamps in it, the original ones suck!

One of the problems know with this unit is the timer brain and digital timer. Know to go out and are very expensive. Other than that it will work great for home use. They are also used in many commerical salons. Talk to John on lamps, replace the ones that are in there.
