Rep Power: 0 | Recent quote/purchase prices for Ergo advantage 400? I purchased one of these early 05', and am interested in purchasing another one asap. If anyone has priced these in 06', would you mind sharing some of the single unit quotes you have been given?? Im trying to make sure I get a competetive price, my thinking was it should have come down some from the 05' price.. Thanks in advance, STT |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Recent quote/purchase prices for Ergo advantage 400? Pricing is typically not set at the date you buy, but rather when they are ramping up production, buying the raw materials, shipping them over, etc. And, in general, the prices tend to "set" around Nashville, and then again sometimes 6 months later in the spring. My point is only that I am not seeing equipment prices DECREASE from year to year, for Ergo or anyone else. The European market (especially Germany) market for tanning experienced a MAJOR hit this past year and many companies that are internationally strong (or internationally based) have experienced decreased sales there as a result. They may or may not be willing to "deal", but across the board, you were NOT seeing them react with price DEcreases here in the States! |

I currently deal with Europe on a daily basis, and I know all the factory's do raise there prices but it's most noticeable when the dollar falls lower then the Euro. Not really much about raw materials, only because raw materials which are used in tanning beds are technology based and those usually decrease more then increase in price. If you end up pay the price you paid in 2005, I can say they are making more money this year then last year. |

I have actually been quoted a price form the same distributor (only one in Texas I believe..) that is about $3000 more than what I paid 11 months ago.... It translates to about a 25% increase in one year... Crazy! |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Recent quote/purchase prices for Ergo advantage 400? Prices have been raised at Ergo, but that much is ridiculous on that unit! Yes - they have territories so that is likely your only dealer choice. However, hold out a bit and see if they change their tune. If I were to bet, by next fall the 400 will be "old news" at Ergo (although still a fine bed) and they'll bring out the next newest, greatest update to replace it and you'll get a GREAT price getting one of the last ones out of stock! Also -- you COULD consider the Ambition 300 if you want to stick with Ergo. Not nearly as nice a 'presence' in the room, but puts out a fine tan pretty darn comparable to what you get from the 400 at a much lower price. |

I ahve now gotten a price on the Advantage 400 (the new model) of 11k. It sounds like a great price but now Ergoline has this free upgrade to get teh 500 when you buy the 400. In this case I would not be getting the free upgrade because I am buying an in-stock new bed and maybe that is why I am getting this price. Should I go for it or pay the extra and get the upgrade? |
