Re: bed overheating .....I mean hot !!!

had a situation where the fans would come on when the top was open and shut down when the top was lowered. Couldn't figure it out till I turned the bed on and started messing with it. Loose plug fixed that problem.

Re: bed overheating .....I mean hot !!!

Some of our beds seem to take a few hours before they get nice and hot. I would also check the buck buster again. Se what its putting out. It may be that the power company started pushing more voltage on 1 of the2 legs.

Re: bed overheating .....I mean hot !!!

we've had the same problem. check the coolong fans real good. just because they are spinning doenst mean they are working. often the non working fans will spin due to the rapid air flow being drawn by the other fans.

Re: bed overheating .....I mean hot !!!

What type of lamps? Also you said your lamps are real orange on the ends. That isn't right. Check you voltage going into the contactor hot leg to hot leg. This will give you your true voltage. Also you may have a capacitor issue. You said your fans are fine and clean, I don't know what else could cause this.

Re: bed overheating .....I mean hot !!!

I know someone with ETS beds talking about a similar issue on two different models. Everything was fine on the beds, problem was with air flow (incoming and heat dissipation). Drop ceilings with AC dumps but nowhere for the hot air to go, solid doors and no wall vents. Sarge is right about the color of the lamps. You might try rebulbing the unit for kicks and see if it makes a difference. Mikejones also had an excellent point about faulty electrical connections when the canopy is in different positions. You can also have intermittent voltage across bad terminals in the tray. Good luck. -Belvy

Re: bed overheating .....I mean hot !!!

If the room is getting hot also try putting a return in above the bed. A simple egg- crate will do. Boy it sure sounds as if the others are correct w/ the cooling fans not all functioning 100%. Is there an a/c reg. in the room? Check to see if it is open. (somtimes after time the damper could move slightly and choke off some air) But.....the orange glow is def. a problem as well. Sounds like the Voltage is too high. May be two separate issues.

Re: bed overheating .....I mean hot !!!

I suggest replacing filters and check your cooling fans. I have see fans that appear to be "on" but are, in fact only turning because of air flow from other fans in the bed. You need to verify that all fans and vents are clean and working properly.
