T-Max3a

Hi I am a new owner of a tanning bed with a T-max3A timer. I bought it from a salon that was going out of business. I have used this bed in the past. My problem is that when I got it home and ran the 220 and set it all up, I can't get the bed to turn on. When I plug in the timer, I get a read of 7.1 then 0. The down arrow works but not the Start/stop or the up arrow. Is it something I missed or do I need a new tmer?

Re: T-Max3a

Hmmmmm? Not sure, and I will have to search a bit, but perhaps the timers has been "programed" to run with a TMax Manager............

Check this link to see if you can solve it: www.appdig.com

Re: T-Max3a

R U sure the bed works? and was electrically wired correctly?

To check this unplug the 3A. Shut off power to bed at electrical service box.
Connect with wirenut, The 2 wires that go to the contact part of the back of the board of the 3A(not the 2 wires that got to plug of 3a).

Turn breaker for bed back on. Bed should run perfectly, without a timer.
CAUTION: do not use your bed like this, someone will get seriously hurt!!!!

If bed works, timer issue. If bed does not work, bed issue.

Good Luck

Re: T-Max3a

If the unit was used with a remote hook-up, it's on-board timer was by-passed. Best to find out. Even though it was the only unit in the shop, it may have been linked to another 3a.

Re: T-Max3a

You need to change the T-max to stand alone. I will need to check on which parameter to change, I haven't worked with them in some time. You can also go to www.appdig.com and down load the manual for the t-max timer. This of course if you bed is hooked up correctly and the power is ran correctley. If the unit worked prior to you moving it, I doubt there is a problem with the unit. The 3A will just need the parameter changed. PM if you need more help.
