I have a SunVision Pro 24SS as a basic bed, and not it's suddenly too hot to put clients into (same bulbs). In addition, the acrylic started to yellow and must be replaced as a result. Before I put in a new acrylic, I obviously like to find out what's causing this sudden "heat surge" Any ideas on what to look for? Thanks

Check all of the cooling fans. Make sure the are actually running and are good and clean. Also check the end caps or wherever cool air is drawn into the unit, make sure they are unobstructed. Go from there.

Yep, internal cooling fans are usually the number one suspect. Use a shop vac w/ a brush attachment and really give them a good cleaning. Turn the bed on and try to observe if there all running freely at FULL SPEED. If not replace them. If the unit has air filters make certain there clean and of course make certain you've got enough replacement air going into the room.

You probably couldn't even get stinkweed to grow under those in the first place, let alone get "too hot". I'd start offering some half hour psych sessions for "those" clients in lieu of a tanning session. Good luck.
