Rep Power: 0 | Well I am a Newbie and I am looking at starting my own Tanning Salon. I need some advice on what beds should I start with ? Which Mfg. are the best and are reliable.I want to be conservative but yet effective and there is alot of competition around. I have talked with ETS and I am looking at starting with 3 Sunvision Pro 28 with F, and 3 Sun star332 3F(facials also) a Sundome 548 and 1 Starpower 548 w/ F I have looked at other Mfg. Sunpro? and ergoline and now I am confused on what beds to go with. Any help is appreciated. |

Out do them with a 32 lamp base, and a 40+ mid level and a 50+ top level and also a TRUE HP. I personally have 4 Sundash 232's (15 min), 2 AUVL Sunstorms, 1 AUVL Sungate and a Suncapsule Supersonic + Mystic tan. Hp Combi soon to come in November. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thanks dcjjp2 sounds like you hit the nail on the head. I'll look for a few 32 lamp base beds with facials and I will need to look at a step above what I had in mind. I will keep on researching beds I think my head is about to explode weeks and weeks of looking at new beds and I still don't know which bed I like the best. |

Rep Power: 22 | Just a note from a little guy! Go with a company not too far from you. Service is key when buying beds IMO! If there is a problem you want them close by. We learned the hard way. I would also think about making your entry level beds 15 min. and maybe would not go with facials. Depending on what types of packages your are going to offer. We do Eft's and our entry level beds are 32 bulb with 3 facials and 20 minutes. Customers don't always feel the need to upgrade with this. I would research a lot on here and see what people have said about the different manufacturers and the service they offer when there is a problem. Most only offer parts and you pay shipping and labor. Check around and see what other salons in your proximity have to offer and set yourself apart from them. Research, Research, Research your beds. Some beds run hotter than others. If that is a concern look into it. I would check around and really get an understanding of what the competition is offering and their pricing structure. It is a lot of work and can really make your head spin but it will absolutely pay off in the end. Knowledge is power. Best of luck!! |

Rep Power: 29 | Agreed mikey. Base beds should be @32 lamps with no facials, give them a reason to upgrade, also make the distinctions between your levels visable to the client as you tour them around. I love watching their eyes light up when they see each level for themselves. |
