We recently changed our bulbs from bronze twisters to Cosmolux ESP RDC 100W. Client's have been witching saying they feel like they are fading. We are in a regulated state and the bronze twisters are not available any longer so our rep agreed to ship us new bulbs which are Cosmedico Hi Tans BUT they are not considered a compatible bulb and they are the closest equivelant to the bronze twisters. Am I retarded if I put these in anyway??? The bulbs we have now SUCK!!! darned if I do and darned if I don't!!!

Since you are in a regulated state and these are not listed as compatibles, I would say you shouldn't use them. I guess it depends on if you are willing to take the risk of being inspected and not being able to prove they are compatible. In my state, they would close me down until I got them replaced and possibly fine me.

It's crazy b/c your client's get frustrated b/c they aren't satisfied with the bulbs and yet the only bulbs that will give them the color they want are not permitted! I'm just going to keep the ones that I have but what sucks is I'll probably lose people over it!!

What was the original lamp in this St. Croix? I know it wasn't the bronze twister or the hi-tan.

We've owned this salon for 3 years and the previous owners have had it for 10 years... I have no idea what ORIGINAL bulbs were in it. Puretan is looking into that for me.

Rep Power: 0 Summers Tan will become famous soon enough
Even if you decide to run Hi-Tans & hope for the best,I hope you don't run them at 20 minute sessions. That would chew some skin up!
