I am not needing lamps anytime soon, but I am trying to get a better understanding on lamp choices.

My bed states that the following lamps (or compatable) can be used:

ProTech Professional UVA 100 Watt
" " DUAL AT UVA 100 Watt
" " DUAL FT UVA 100 Watt
ProTech Performance UVA 100 Watt

I've noticed some bulbs are higher wattage, some bulbs have reflectors inside, and some twist to do something, some say Dark Tan, while others have names in terms of speed like Velocity. How does one choose the best lamp?

Input please! I would like to be well informed when the time comes.

Thanks!

Looks like you purchased a Prosun bed.

Unfortunately there are no compatible lamps on the market for those lamps you have listed.

So you are stuck with those, like or hate 'em!

Thank you, but I have already checked into that and I can get different bulbs for this bed including the Bronze S Twister bulbs because I specifically asked about these. I don't know a whole lot about bulbs and this post was mainly for some answers about different bulbs. It is a ProSun Jade 24 (their top bed in their residential line). Sounds like you are nothing more than a ProSun basher to me as I see there are a lot on this web site. I don't know anything about their commercial units, but I will have you know that this bed has worked wonderfully and I am very pleased & are my family members who are using the bed. We have been to various salons and haven't seen anything working a whole lot better if better. We are all receiving exceptional color, the bed never runs hot, and it seems to be built exceptionally well. The design is pretty eye appealing, too (not that that matters for function).
