I am looking for a good 160 watt bed, been considering Matrix L-53, Ergoline 500, Sunstorm, Cayenne, liked the 1000 watt facials a little better than the 500 watt, has anyone tried any of these or have any other ideas? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I am going to answer with different beds the S class from UWE and the Sungate from Future Industries.

Depends how much money you are willing to part with, Gates are top of the line.

These are all good units. But hands down the Matrix L-58 in my opinion is the king. I have tanned in all of them several times. It's a different experince. Good air flow, great design, built in radio, longer lamp life, better cooling, great service, and a great tan. Second I would go with the Sunstorm but the Matrix L-58 is more on the level of the Sungate but would still go with the L-58. Third the ergo then the Cayenne. But go tan in the Matrix L-58 a couple times. I will be adding another one. This unit runs from Dawn till Dusk seven days.

All units as mentioned are good. As a long time fan of QDM/AUVL products, that would be my suggestion. However, the Orbits/Sunstorms, though 'have' 1000w facials, they are 800w ballast. Yet, they tan superb so don't let that stop you.

The L58 is double the price of the Sunstorm, the Cayenn's about 8K more. Ergo or "EGO", would never consider them..way overpriced and more flash in the pan than tan.

I would rank the UWE Cayenne as the best of the beds you have listed.

The Sungate by AUVL is the best as far as quality build, raw power, & no worries!

I have never tanned in the Matrix L58, however it only has a 140W lamp in the top!

The Ergo 500W facials & filter system will tan just as good a 1000W facial with the blue filter.
Ergo has some strong facials that is for sure! The 1000W facial will give a better bronze color, and the Ergo facial has a bit more UVB, so you can get lit up on those!
