Does a tanning bed work better with the frosted acrylic or the clear?? Does the frosted keep you from tanning as good??

I have a bed with the frosted acrylics and I like em and cant really tell a difference from my other beds with clear ones.....They say that they evenly distribute the rays so you get a more even tan!! I like em though!

Personally, the frosted acrylics are another gimmick to woooo tanning clients. Do frosted lamp covers on your home lights give you more light? IMO, stick to clear acrylics. Frosted may distribute more evenly, but you will not get the full mpact of the UV rays being immitted.

I have actually heard the very opposite! I don't have frosted but have talked to people who do and they love them!

Look at it this way, if frosted acrylics were better, we could just fine dand the ones we have now and be in good shape. Meantime, we all try to avoid having our acrylics scratched, don't we?

I don't know how you would go about doing an accurate comparison between clear and frosted acryllics. I agree that frosted acryllics are another gymick, but not woo tanning customers. I believe frosted acryllics are more expensive than clear, and I think UWE is the only manufacturer using them. Good luck.

If not to woo the client then what is the gimmick? They are more expensive. And UWE may be the only manufacturer using them as original installations, but they can be bought after market for many units these days.
