I have a cyberdome in my Salon... and clients love it, but the cooling fans in the top of the bed vibrate agasint the metal frame and is etremely noisy. Is there anything that can be done to solve this problem? Or is it simply a design failure.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
Michael

They maybe loose, in which case you'll have to get at them to re-secure them. Or the bearings may be going and they will need to be replaced. I have had some make some pretty funky noises when they ready to fry..........

You'll have to do some investigating to see which plan of action is needed.

They may be loose, since they are only held in place by sheet metal screws and the screws are screwed into the reflector.

Those are cross-ventilation fans. My experience is that they will have to be replaced.

You will have to investigate it a liitle further Is the noise constant or only when it reaches a certain Rpm? Chances are the fans have just become loose and not a hard fix. Worse case you may need to replace fan wich is no biggie the bed by now has probably paid for itself twice,it's worth the investment if your clients enjoy it.

with the unit running, see if the blades seem to speed up and slow down. The bearing may be bad, if you need to replace them, make sure you replace them with a ball bearing fan and not a sleeve bearing fan.
