Rep Power: 0 | Well, the first thing to do is decide what you're looking for. What kind of results are you looking for? (Building a base tan, bronzing an existing tan, maintaining a base, etc...) You can contact the companies directly, and they'll point you in the right direction based upon the results you're looking for. You're right- it's confusing and overwhelming with all the different types and manufacturers. So, bottom line- know what you're looking for BEFORE you start looking. Otherwise you can get easily distracted from your goal. (You think used car salesmen are slippery?? Wait till you get out on the market for beds and bulbs!!) When looking at a tanning bed, keep in mind that you're purchasing a FIXTURE for the bulbs. The highest quality tanning bed means squat when you're not happy with the bulbs in it. So, look at total bulbs, type of bulb, total wattage, and layout. Also, look at quality of manufacture. If you're putting it in Salon use, be sure it's going to hold up to that kind of abuse. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thanks i am looking for a very powereful tanning bulb. I don't care how many hours it gets. I am the only one to be using it and I don't use it much. Which is the best 100w bulb for the most color in the least amt of time (not looking for tons of uvb though) I have searched so many websites they have no prices but mainly do not say what are their best bulbs. I just want to buy the best and I can't find what it is!! Any help, i'd appreciate it thanks! |

Rep Power: 25 | First of all, what type of bed do you have? How many lamps? You can't expect a miracle from a 16,20 or 24 lamp home unit. Second what are you looking for as far a results? You can PM me and I can help you with UVA/UVB percentages on most lamps. Jeff |

Rep Power: 0 | If you are tanning at home on a say, 24 bulb bed, why can't you get a great tan if you have great bulbs? I am not doubting you, I am just trying to figure out what kind of bed to buy for my home, plus what bulb, & it is becoming overwhelming. I might be too much of a perfectionist for my own good sometimes, because it is driving me crazy trying to decide on a bed & bulb and I wanted & needed one right away! I am losing way too much hair over this! LOL! If anyone feels like helping me, please do so. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: lioness on 2005-04-04 02:55 ] |
