I just bought a salon in SoCal, so I'm researching options. I did a "search" but didn't see any mention of specific distributors in areas. Does anyone know of West Coast distibutors, and specifically any in the Southern California area, for replacing bulbs? I have 5 Puretan Aruba 24 Sunbeds (about 5 years old), 2 Isis 30 beds, and one each of the Luxor and Pegasus VHR beds.

So far, it looked like people were recommending Cosmedico and CosmoLux bulbs, specifically "9k90". What does that mean? I have owned many reef tanks, so I'm somewhat familiar with specialty bulbs. However, I'm new to tanning specific bulbs.

There are many distributors out there that will jump on the opportunity to sell you lamps...
Even CalTan will be selling Lamps very soon, so you might want to start by asking your lotion distributor.

Pacific Tanning Supplies services the SoCal area quite well, but there are many others as well, of course, who do a very good job.

Do you have a source where the equipment came from ? That might also be your answer...
Just a couple of thoughts...

Our lotion distributor is Salon Support (Kelly) and she was the first person I asked. However, she wanted $11.95 per Velocity Plus bulb, and with $29 per case to ship, it would be $1263 to rebulb 5 beds. So that sent me looking elsewhere.

I'm fairly certain the previous owner got these beds used. He mentioned a dist. up in Washington that he uses, but that's still going to carry a shipping cost penalty. I'll google for PTS and see what they offer.

Thanks for the quick reply!
John
