Rep Power: 0 | I would like to use a bronzing bed at least once a week. What type of bulbs would that be? THe only ones I can find in my area are the Ultra Ruva beds. And no one knows anything where I live! So frustrating. Doesn't do any good to ask them questions. I just need to know what I want when I go in. Kona |

Rep Power: 21 | A so called "Bronzing Bed" is any Base bed (28-34 Lamps)= that has lamps which contain a Lower % of UVB, and a Higher % of UVA than regular lamps. ex: Goldarium SP and Cosmolux VLR are both lamps that are considered "Browning Lamps" (bronzing lamps)........The exact opposite of this would be Lamps with a higher % of UVB than a regular lamp, which reddens you, or burns you slightly ("burning Lamp") Ex: Cosmedico Hi-Tan.........I guess that you could also consider ANY high pressure unit to be a "bronzing bed", but I dont think that konacoast is looking for H.P. tanning yet. |

Rep Power: 21 | This one is in my neck of the woods, Tooele Utah. UNFORTUNATELY konacoast Utah has it's own lingo that is different from the rest of the country for the most part. The VHR bed in Utah (ultra ruva) is known to be very aggressive. The VLR beds in Utah (ruva) are more of the bronzing beds. So they say. Kona, what jkonturas said is correct ask for a bed that has a higher uva and less uvb. If you want more information pm me with your number and I will answer any questions you have. Our salon is about one hour from were you live. Just in case you are wondering these are just a few of the beds classification in Utah Ultra super turbos Ultra ruvas ruvas bronzing beds wolff beds. |

Rep Power: 107 | I agree. we have the same thing with SuperBeds and Speedbeds, it's all in the local lingo. One salon calls it a Super bed, the other calls it a speed bed, the next is a Turbo-Bed educate your clinets on the diffrences in YOUR salon and tell them that we all give them a different name.................. |
