Hello, I have a 1996 TanFit home tanning unit, and yesterday I turned it on and I believe the timmer is broken, won't shut off. Yikes. Can anybody give me a good place to purchase a inexpensive timmer for this bed? It is a PureTan bed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time!
Himmylover!

Find a tanning bed repair serviceman. Your contactor relay might be stuck.

Hi Ed, what is a contactor relay? It is just stuck, you can hear it running then it stops. I can use it but don't like unplugging it while it is running. Not too smart!

It's a magnetic switch, basically. I'm not too familiar with your tanning bed, but the relay is probably near the timer. Unplug your bed and take a look.

Thanks Ed, I appreciate you feedback. I will do this. Sure scares me running it and then unplugging it.

HimmyLover:
I also am not real familiar with your particilar tanning bed, but if it has a remote interface connector then this could be the problem. If you call the manufacturer's technical support department, they should be able to help you figure out where to look for the cause of the problem.
