Hotter does not mean better, We use Velocity in all of our salons plus our beds we sell come with Velocity. You can actually upgrade to the Velocity Plus which are 10% stronger than the Velocity, unfortunately Wolff lamps do not post exact UVB percentages.

I went with the Beach Suns in my Sunvisions and the people are loving them!! I replaced with both the Velocity in one bed and the Beach Suns in another, so far the customers like the Beach Suns better.

Beach Sun is made by Light Sources. Call URI if you want to know more, they'll tell you about them.

I don't know anything about the Black Sun, but check out the Beach Suns. Your customer will see more redness, right after tanning, so, if you don't want that, don't go with the Beach Suns.

Black Sun is a good lamp, but the Light Sources Beach Sun is a great lamp. We stock them in our warehouse in Cleveland. They are one of our best buys and best sellers.

If you use anything but Wolff lamps in those beds, does that void the warantee? I'd love to ask ETS, but would be afraid of what they'd say. I would think they'd want their own lamps used in them that way they could sell more. I would love to try the Beach Suns in my 30's, but would hate to think that if something went wrong with the bed that ETS would blame it on not using their own lamps. Anyone out there know?

I know also that in Illinois, the lamps have to be on a compatibility list to be legal for use in the bed. I don't think that the Beach Sun is on that list.
