Rep Power: 0 | Recently bought this bed and am looking to see what your thoughts are before I set it up in my shop in roughly 45 days. Bought it used with roughly 1000 hours on it - year is 2000 or 2001 (can't remember). Anyone else own this bed? Thought on the "reflected light?" Pros/cons? Northeast prices per session? Thanks for your input! |

Rep Power: 0 | I heard that the FDA will not approve this bed in the united states due to the extreme heat produced. That is why it was the only ergo bed not in Nashville. This is just here say so please let me know what happens with this bed. Thank you |

Rep Power: 0 | I found it while traveling over in Europe and never thought there would be laws against it in the US......Until I spoke to an Ergoline rep who told me they're not allowed to sell it here. Being new to this business, what kind of trouble can I get in for having this bed in my salon? I've made the investment already, so I'm thinking it's sometimes better to ask forgiveness than it is for permission. Agree? Disagree? Soapking - this bed is listed on ergoline's website if you want to take a look. It's an open lounge, mush like the one from UWE. |

Rep Power: 0 | Not sure what would happen, probably BIG fines. Why take the chance? Don't forget your messing with the FDA. If you bring it into your salon you are completely nuts. You say your new to the business? Do you have a lot of money? You might need it if your caught. Just my two cents. Really Really think about this one. Looks totally different then the UWE Sunboard. But it does have the same pricipal ( being open). |

Rep Power: 23 | From what I have heard from germany is that the bed is very dangerous. The filter glass in exposed & it gets extremely hot. Potential tanners could put a towel on it & start a fire or they could also touch the glass & get a serious burn. In Germany they call it the Worlds most expensive cigarette lighter. You hold your cigarette 2-4 inches away from the filter glass & it will light it for you! Good luck! _________________ [ This Message was edited by: JOHN @ URI on 2004-03-11 09:16 ] |
