Too many standups. Industry stats indicate, less than 10% of tanners use a standup. Does your market demand the Saturn; a HP standup? If you are doing HP, use a bed. Good choice with the SunGate..I am familiar with MegaSun, but not that familiar with the ease of upkeep and tan performance. I would get another base, get rid of one of the VHRs..when tanners try the Sungate, they will by-pass the mid-VHR. I also would rid myself of a Suncapsule..good units, but 2 won't justify the need. If serious on keeping 2 standups, then the Saturn and one Capsule...

why go stand up at all? IF 90% of tanners want lay downs ( my salon is 99%) cater to the masses ./ you'll eat with the classes .

I'm not sure where any of you are located, but im in Ma, and stands up are all the rage. i had 5 vhr stand ups, and after 1 year i had to get 2 more. and all the appointments for them were booked all the time, never mind the walk ins for them. i think stand ups are the way to go, then you can always get them to upgrade to the better beds! But thats just me. The stand up are our bread and butter.

Depends on where you are and what the demand in your area is for. Some people never use there stand ups and there are salons that I personally know of that only use stand ups. There is a salon in salon in New York and in Michigan that I know of that does not have a lay bed at all. Kind of crazy I know for the majority people do not prefer the stand ups , but some places demand them. Gyms use alot of standups as well as opposed to laydowns. Prosun and Hex I know of offer special pricing for Gyms b/c that is mainly what their demand is for.

I would research your area before I go with that many standups , though.
It could be a BIG mistake if your particular area does not demand them.
I dont want to stand up, ever.

As for the 40 lamp base beds. It will be harder to upgrade later as for what it will take you to replace them with later to upgrade?
However that is one of the only bad points to using the 40 lamps as base beds.
We flew thru 50 of the 40 lamp prosuns a few months ago. I can not personally tink of one that went in as an upgrade unit. A few of them went into nail and hair salons as their only bed. The majority of them went as base level units and also in to one level salons. I thought it was great watching some of these great salons opening with units that most were using as an upgrade as well some pre existing salons upgrading their base levels from 32 to 40 lamps. GREAT idea, the only down fall was the the expense and difficulty in future upgrading.
