we are ready to relamp our our ETS beds and are trying to get to best bulb as is everyone. We were wanting a uvb rich bulb but still being compatible we have been considering the Phillips Swift. But are open to any good suggestions. They would be for the 175s

Speed 175's are only compatable to Veliocity's... Velocity's are also made by Wolff and are a great lamp. To be compatable, though, you have to stay + or - 10%, so your options are somewhat limited. I think that you would be very happy w/ Velocity lamps. If you need any more help, let me know.

Alias,

There are many compatible choices for the Speed 175 lamps.

Cosmedico Goldarium SP
Light Source Select
Philips Swift

The above lamps will all outperform the Speed lamps.

John,
What lamp would be your choice to replace the Speed 175 and Speed 205? I also have to replace the Velocity 100 watt. I have been pretty satisifed with my lamps, but you know, always looking for something better.

The Select by LSI is slightly stronger than the Speed 175 & 205, they will also provise a nice long life. Goldarium SP by Cosmedico will be very similar in output to the Speed lamps. The Philips Swift will give nice browning, but they will also have a shorter life.

The Velocity lamps can be replaced by the Wolff Everglo which has a nice ballance of UVA & UVB for a nice bronze tan. You could also try the LSI Midday Sun which will be slightly stronger, & your more advance tanners will like it.

ON the topic of replacing Speed 175 bulbs John is right that there are many bulbs that will work, however using anything besides the Wolff reccemended replacement completely negates your warranty on your beds. Direct quote from an ETS Q & A:Q-"Will my speed system warranty still be valid?" A-"Yes, as long as the lamp purchased is the designated ETS branded replacement for the specific Speed lamp in question." And the designated lamp replacements are as follows:
Speed 175 Velocity
Speed 205 Velocity Plus
Speed 215 Velocity Extreme
Speed 225R Bronzing Sun Plus 100WR
Speed 255R Bronzing Sun Mag
Speed 275R BRonzing Sun Mag
Speed 315 VSR Velocity VSR 160W
Speed 325 VSR Bronzing Sun VSR 160W
Speed 525 VSR BRonzing Sun Gold 200W, F-71

Hope that helps!!!!!!!

Please read what the warning lable on the bed states!

It should say "Use Speed 175 or compatible equivelant"

If it says that then you can freely use any compatible lamp you choose. They can not void your warranty!

And do you actually think that ETS is going to come to your salon & see what lamps you are using!!!
