I have a ultrasun bed 4000, and it has (18) 160w VHO bulbs in the Bench. Can I replace them with a 160w VHR? The wattage would be the same, but output would be better? do U think this is OK, or Stripping the client would occur? Since the wattage is the same, I don't think increasing the output would stress the bed! Please let me know your opinions!

The VRX is not a compatible replacement for the VX, Yes they would work but you would be liable for anyone who gets burned.

Always stick with a listed compatible lamp!

do you think I could say put in a few VRX (say 1 or 2) on the far ends (outter edges) of the bed (the lamps not close to the person) so they get a stronger tan? Or is the risk of burn still there? And can the ballasts and starters handle the VRX? or to them they are the same lamp as the VX? thanks!

The Ballast & Starters can't tell one 160W lamp from another 160W lamp.

Why don't you just get a better compatible replacement for the VX.
