Rep Power: 0 | totally different beds..The SunGate, Diva 7 and the SB, ARE not HP beds. That said, the SunGate would out tan th Diva7 and SB..the SB is more comparable to the Onyx. The Diva7 offers more lamps than the SB, and would be a better choice of the two. However, the Diva would be a level3, where the SB would be a level 2..the Diva is comparable to the S-Class, w/o the whistles...the SunGate leaves them all in the shadows |

Rep Power: 23 | There is no such thing as medium pressure in the tanning industry. High Pressure & low Pressure only! You have a pretty tough decision between those 3 beds. You better try them before you buy them. 54 BodyScan XXXr lamps 4 600w facials 12,000 BTU AC unit 9 minute session 50 Cosmolux VHR 4 800w facials 10 minute session time Ac unit optional 48 Cosmolux VHR lamps 2 800w, 4 400w facials 2 400w shoulder tanners 12 minute exposure Air Conditioner All these beds are great performers and will demand high dollar sessions. Just take your time & find the one that fits your clients needs at the right price for you. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: JOHN @ URI on 2003-06-16 08:34 ] |

Rep Power: 22 | hey john i have tanned in both the diva and the sungate i thought each had some plus and minus about each other i know the sungate is a tad stronger but i also hear that the sungate has to get the top lamps changed every 250 hours true? the air also works alot better in the sungate but the diva is a little more attractive looking wise really tough decesion for me what would you get john i must say no to all ergoline stuff here in cali there is already alot of it out here. Also the reason i call it HP is because in 9 out of 10 salons these will be there HP beds |

Rep Power: 23 | bucsfan, The GiantSun by QDM was the original bed and was ran 250 volts & had a maximum session of 8 minutes. So at 250 hrs you have 1875 sessions which isn't too bad!(they used a 160w with a 180w ballast & upped the voltage, great results, poor lamp life.) The new version Sungate is ran at 235 volts & has a maximum session time of 10 minutes. You will get only 350 hrs max with this application because the lamp is still overpowered by the ballast. So at 350 hrs you have 2100 sessions logged. 1875 sessions X $18.00 (average)= $33,750.00 2100 sessions X $18.00 " "= $37,800.00 Any way you look at it the GiantSun or SunGate is an awesome bed that demands big $$$$. I personally have never tanned in the Diva7, however KBL manufacturers that bed & they do make some awesome beds. This bed uses a 160w lamp with 160w ballast all around. They do you a stronger lamp to get a 9 minute session. You will get on average about 450 hrs before lamp change. So at 450 hrs you get 3000 sessions X $18.00 = $54,000.00. This bed has the potential to make tons of $$$. With the Silver Bullet at a 12 minute session, you can get 450 hrs on those lamps also. So 2250 sessions x $18.00 = $40,500.00 , lots of features on this bed. I do like the power of the Giant Sun, but many people doubt the tan time! The Diva7 will give immpressive numbers but not sure how the facials perform. The UWE Silver Bullet is very popular & is making many salons lots of $$$. Other things to consider are maintenance & ease of use. Some beds are a complete nightmare to work on, I know for a fact that the beds by Advanced UV Light are some of the most maintenance free & woory free beds made. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: JOHN @ URI on 2003-06-17 08:25 ] |

Rep Power: 22 | thanks john for all the info when i did tan in the Diva 7 i know the facials are weaker than in the sungate sometimes its a little hard to tell 1 because i am already pretty tan but also the facials are supposed to be almost heat free in the diva 7 where in the sungate and i tanned in the older 8 min version you could feel the heat so many people feel if they are getting hot they are getting tan. One more question for you john my installer told me as well as one of the sales staff for the diva 7 said that they could run it a little stronger to get a 8 min tan time does that sound right to you? if so i would love to do that |
