Rep Power: 0 | I just started using this tanning bed that's in my apartment complex last week. I've been four times, eight minutes each time, and have noticed that I have barely any change in my skin tone. I don't know how I could tell if the bulbs need to be replaced or when the last time was that they were, my complex director leaves it in the hands of an independent company. The bulbs that are used are Dual Sun by Light Source. Are these decent? Will I get a tan with them? I have been having a lot of trouble finding any information on them. It's really inexpensive and convenient for me to tan so close to my apt, but seriously, it's a waste of time if I don't get a tan. Do any of you know anything about these bulbs? I read something about Light Source possibly being sued last year and don't really want to put myself at risk if these are crappy lights. There is a salon across the street from me that I could use, but it would be more expensive and less convenient. What would you suggest? |

Rep Power: 0 | Try going to that salon and buying some tanning lotion. It's extremely hard to see results without using tanning lotion. When I first started I didn't use lotion for monthes and I saw minimal results. Lotion is the most important thing. If your still not getting tan with the lotion it may be the bed. |

Rep Power: 22 | Sadie, Dual Sun lamps by LSI are excellent quality lamps. The question is, how many hours do the lamps have on them. This lamp has a long useful life, but it does have a limit. I don't understand why you went 3 times at the same session length. If you got nothing the 1st visit, increase your time the 2nd visit, and again the 3rd visit. Depending on your skin type, you might have been able to start out at 10-12 minutes. That's where the benefit of a salon comes in. They can help you determine how to get the most from you tanning experience. The comment about using a quality accelerator is also true. If you are NOT using an accelertor, you are short changing your ability to get a beautiful bronze tan. |

Rep Power: 0 | I think the bulbs might be old. I don't know how to tell though. I'm using a pretty good lotion, Ganga by California sun feels really nice. Anyway, the bulbs feel a lot hotter than the ones in the bed I went to a couple of years ago, and ther is this black residue. Also, the acrylics are really cloudy. I don't know if those things factor in, but I think I'm going to call the company that runs it and ask them the last time that the lights were replaced. |
