Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I am looking for one of those 8" Black wall fans that go at the foot of the bed on the wall to cool the tanner. The catalogs that I have eihter do not have this style of fan or its not black, does anyone have a dist catalog that has one of these fans in black? |

Rep Power: 12 ![]() | 4 Seasons also has them in Black. Anyone got these fans in their salon and having any trouble with them? I got a situation where the fan shuts itself down after about 8 minutes run time. I think it is temperature sensitive but it doesn't seem to be that hot in the room. Any thoughts from other users? |

If the squirrel-cage fan happens to default, with a double pancake style, you still have some air flow. Roger Brown-puretan International 800-338-8267 x 201 or rogerb@puretan.net |

Rep Power: 12 ![]() | Roger, I've got 2 of the pancake fans that are supposed to deliver 500cfm. They may be moving that much air, but the pattern is so broad that you hardly notice the air moving. You guys ought to look into squeezing the air outlet into a nozzle so the air can be felt. On another note, I have found that the Sundash air blowers are thermally protected. The have an internal switch that opens when the motor heats up to 40C. I think this is too cool for the thing to shut down. The room is quite comfortable and the fan still shuts off. Any one else had this experience?? |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | bsmart: I do not know whos fans you are using, but the FanTastic fans we make will blow the hair on a client head from the foot mounting position. Most good fans do have a temperatured thermatic cut-out, even the pancake style. We have never had any complaints toward our fans. The squirrel cage design delivers the same pattern, but wiht less out put. We used the same "Fasco" fans in our earlier designs and was not satisfied with the cooling effect. We now use the pancake design instead of the other in our systems. They appear to be a better manufactured product. Roger A. Brown puretan International 800/338-8267 x201 rogerb@puretan.net |

Rep Power: 12 ![]() | Roger, I have the Fantastic fan you described. It is a 220v version with the speed control. They actually have 2 fans built into the unit. The only complaint I have is that they don't have a controlled output pattern. The air flow is controlled by the bench and canopy of the bed, which would be great with a completely enclosed bed style, but with one that has open sides, the air escapes the bed tunnel. It will not move enough air in this configuration to feel it past the midrift. If there were shrouds on the sides of the fan outlet, the output would be much more noticeable. Otherwise, these seem to be good units. |
