Rep Power: 24 | Mitzi, I relamped my beds with the 6.5 black sun, you are right, they are metering stronger than any lamp I've put in that bed. How are you scheduling you skin type 3 customers, those that haven't tanned within 3 months?? Here is ours skin type 3 1st time 7 min 2nd time 8 min 3rd time 9 min 4th 10 min 5th 12 6th 12 7th 15 8th 15 9th 17 10th 17 11th 19 12th 20 we have been following this schedule for 3 years in our Sonshine store, the 1st year we had all kinds of resistance. Everything is great now. However on the other hand I bought an existing store a few months ago and getting ready to implement a schedule they have never heard of, want to make sure my schedule is close to others, What about it guys, what is you tanning schedule like? Tommy by the way these are 20 min lamps _________________ Tommy Lowery[ This Message was edited by: Sonshinetans on 2002-12-19 12:02 ] |

Rep Power: 27 | If you get resistance in the new salon, tell them that you are different now. Oh boy It took me 1/2 season to show them this, and then some. Sorry but I am not in the mood to do my numbers, but Tommy you are close to my schedule on new Blk Sun. |

Rep Power: 25 | My people think we are strict with 7,10,13,16,18,20!!!!We've been doing this for years but noone else in town follows any schedule so we have a hard time convincing clients (until after the fact)that is what they need to do for the best tan. |

Rep Power: 22 | Sonshinetans, I agree with you that the safest thing to do is tan by a schedule. We have not 'officially' used a schedule in the past, but that is changing this year. I have put together a handout that we will give each client after we determine their skin type. The handout will show them the suggested tan exposure times based on the type of equipment they want to use, and their skin type. We plan to follow the schedule, and I've instructed my employees not to deviate from it. Our numbers are close to yours for our Level 2 equipment (10 minute beds) and close to what Teresa mentioned for our Level 1 20 minute beds. We have 3 levels of equipment, and 3 different handouts for each equipment level. We will skin type from 2A to 6 as seen on other skin typing forms in the past. This should eliminate anyone from getting a sunburn, and thats VERY important to me and my staff. |
