I take mine to the dump. But I wish there was a better option. Can lamps be recycled?

We will be offering a recycling program starting in november.The price should be around 1.00 per lamp including shipping.

What do they do with the recycled lamps? Sell them to my competitor

They crush them,then seperate the componants.They re-use the mercury after cleaning.The glass is recycled along with the aluminum caps and brass pins.

I've been seeing ads in the major Tanning Magazines for about a year now, offering this recycling process for $1 per lamp. It must not be worth much to them to ask the old lamp provider to also pay for the disposal service.
