Rep Power: 25 | This same thing happened last year. Clients started complaining about bed #4. They would say it was cold laying in there. It never warmed up at all, etc. I have 2 other beds just like this one & they never make that comment about the others. They like #4 when the lamps are new, but #4 has less hours on the lamps than #2 & #3, so why would I get so many complaints about this one bed. Something must be wrong somewhere, but I'm not sure what it is. Any ideas? |

Rep Power: 23 | Heat is the enemy of tanning beds! You want your beds to stay cool. That bed may have better cooling fans! Or is in a better ventilated room, or may not be used as much. Tell your clients that as the lamps heat up the tanning output drops off, a cool bed is better. Its a fact! What do you clients know? You are the expert! |

Rep Power: 25 | Chippp, I know that heat doesn't tan you. But, most people don't want a COLD bed....they do want it to be warm. I think there's a problem somewhere. Just like last year, people are starting to complain about this bed & they'll say they don't like that bed or they don't want to tan in that bed because it never warms up. |

Rep Power: 107 | It's not hot enough! I hate that comment! You want heat, stick your head in an oven! You wanna tan, get into a tanning bed that is adequately cooled and ventilated! So many salons, and even lamp manufacturers have used the relationship between a hot summer day and tanning that clients feel they have to be drained of their breath to get a tan. I recently spied on one of my "competitors" (notice the quotes), even if they had the best bulbs in the world the heat in those rooms would knock you out, and or course significantly reduce the output of the lamps. One of my longtime clients sneaks in there every week for their $2 Tuesdays and tells me that she can barely breath after 15 minutes! You're thinking, why would she go there, right? Cause it's only $2 (wonder why?) Those of us who are serious about tanning our clients must begin to dispell this myth. Heat is not tanning anyone!!!!! |

Rep Power: 25 | The people that are complaining aren't necessarily the one's that want the hottest bed, they are saying the bed is COLD. Lots of people like to be comfortable while they're tanning...not scorching HOT. Listen to what I'm saying.....nobody wants to take all their clothes off and get in a cold bed that never warms up. I'm not saying anything about BLAZING HOT! The room is not that close to the door, but if it was it's in the 70's here so no cool air would be coming from the door. Some people want a really hot bed...some people like to be reasonably comfortable & like to have fans blowing on them & they don't want to sweat. But tanning beds are supposed to be warm not cold. Don't you have people coming in saying the warmth helps their back, etc....well this bed is not putting out any warmth! I'm trying to find out what's wrong with this bed....not the mentality of tanners who think if the fan is on they're not getting a good tan. Or some idiot that asks me if they take a shower when they get home, will their tan be washed off. THE QUESTION IS: I HAVE 3 IDENTICAL BEDS WITH IDENTICAL LAMPS. BED 4 HAS LESS HOURS ON THE LAMPS & BED THAN BED 3. BUT PEOPLE START COMPLAINING ABOUT BED 4. THAT IT STAYS COLD, IT NEVER WARMS UP, ETC. PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO GO TO THIS ROOM, THEY DON'T LIKE IT. I'M RELAMPING IT TODAY, BUT IT PROBABLY DOESN'T NEED RELAMPING QUITE YET. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHY THIS WOULD HAPPEN, PLEASE ADVISE. THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS BED LAST YEAR. I HAD MY ELECTRICIAN CHECK THE VOLTAGE COMING FROM MY BUCK BOOSTER LAST YEAR & IT WAS FINE. |
