Why should a tanning salon use High Pressure beds? I have tanned in one once and that's it. It did not impress me.Can someone that has them try to sell me on the idea?Michael

Michael~I would have spent a bit more time with you in Chicago...had i known you wanted to be "sold" a high pressure machine...LOLI can't believe you didn't ask me face to face...anyway, nice meeting you...if you weren't impressed with the high pressure machine...do you think it might have been the machine you used?? I mean i have been in a few low pressure machines i haven't been impressed with...but, i still purchase low pressure...Your thoughts?Shari

Michael~I am very serious here...You can not only offer what you think your clients want...you have to offer them what they want...If you didn't like a particular lotion....but it sold like hotcakes...wouldn't you still stock it?? I would think you would...You must give your clients what they want...don't get caught up in all these politics about high pressure ~vs~ low pressure...that is ignorance...Question your clients...do a survey...present the facts, and ask them if they would like the high pressure option...Every good business owner provides their clients with what they want...so if your clients are wanting???Your salon, your call...Shari

Michael: Salon owners that have HP will never agree as to which bed they think is best, but they will all agree that the ROI is tremendous. We do a GREAT job with our HP beds as they represent a large portion of the usage as well as the profits in our Salon's. If you did not like the one you tanned in go and try three more until you find the right one. With the volume that you do, your missing the boat BIG TIME!!!! Marty

If thats not enough of an incentive, think of your customers! they will TAN faster with HP and tell all their friends. We start out more than 75% of all our new clients in HP. Most never leave. They tan less often so that you do not see the same 300 people each day. Our average tanner comes in once a week to our salons, allowing us to spread out our customer base over a much larger population. Clean less beds and make more money than most 30-50 bed salons.Maybe you missed the High Pressure forum in Chicago???We support the TSO Working together we can and will make a difference[This message has been edited by Marty & Carol (edited November 16, 2000).]

My point exactly Michael...they can not make a decision, if they do not know the options...I really think that you should investigate this option...For no other reason than to satisfy yourself...I'm not trying to "sell" you...salon owner to salon owner...you must leave no stone unturned...you are in business to make money...do not limit your earning possibilities!!!!!! High pressure lamps use the part of the UVA spectrum that is most damaging to the skin. Much more so then low pressure UVA lamps. A lot of studies in Europe have been done on this.Wolff did studies on this and is using what they found to make a new low pressure uva lamp in Europe that takes advantage of this new finding. Low pressure lamps that are even kinder to the skin, a good idea!
