UNIT = ETS Sunvision 28 XLTI would like to eliminate the constant need to reset the on bed timer. Is it possible to just pull the timer out, install a jumper and let the T-Max 3A do it's job?I have no idea what I'd find if I did pull the timer out, but imagine it is just a simple switch, actually two, one would probably be a mechanical timer, the other a rocker for the facials. Ant advice Jon?

what type of timer is in it??? is it digital or spring wound??after you set time and the bed runs and the time expires, do you have to go and push a button on the bed??this could be a clean room feature and you should be able to turn it off.hope i've been of some assistance Jon

I have not tried to remove it from the bed, yet. It has a dial that permits one to set the tanning time, by rotating it, possibly thinking of their (ETS') home customers who would use it without an external timer. When connected to the T-Max it becomes a redundant operation and one that I have forgotten to reset to max on occasion, especially when in a hurry.Just thought you may have had some experience with them, as everywhere you look, (I look) I find salons with ETS beds.

Fred, my guests have a hand held switch, which they may take into the bed with them, one push on the button activiates the bed another push turns it off. They do NOT have to reach out from the bed, possibly twisting their backs out of place, nor do they have to stand outside the bed, push a wall mounted button, climb into the bed without good vision or do so without eye protection. I use T-Max 3As in the rooms, I have placed a wired, remote, push button switch in parallel with the start button of the T-Max. So I end up with two (2) timers in use, the T-Max and the rotary dial on the Sunvision bed. I wish to K.I.S. and just use the best of the two timers, the T-MAX. I am eventually going to dive into the Sunvision and hopefully I will find a simple timer switch with two contacts (line in - line out) that make or break the circuit, then I will hard wire a jumper between the two, completeing the circuit in the bed. My only timer will be the T-MAX 3A, controlled by the T-MAX Manager, controlled by the computer POS.Just because I want to eliminate one little twist of the dial. on some of the ETS beds they have the timer and the fan delay hooked up in the same spring wound timer. the spring wound timer acts as an initiate switch to start the 3 minute countdown for the fan delay. if you do away with the spring wound timer you will either have to put a relay in there to initiate the 3 minute fan delay or you will just do away with the after tan cooling.if you need me to draw you a diagram, i'd bo more than happy to help.Tanning TechsJon Jones816-914-8604
