A few years ago I was contacted to do an install in Mass. I arrived at the salon location before the equipment it was on a friday afternoon. The truck arrived at about 4:45p.m. I got the machines unloaded and all the boxes looked o.k. and I thought this is gonna go good!It was two 28 lamp beds and the install was down two flights of stairs.I got all the equipment downstaires and everything was going great.I put the first machine together and it was fine.I started putting the second unit together and had to do a double take!I looked and looked again! I was at the point where you attach the canopy to the bench and I just couldn't figure out was the deal was!Now I had done about 100 to 150 of these units all over the united states and I had never seen this before! What I was looking at was; on the bench there was the connecting plug from the canopy to the bench on the front rail, the hindges where in the right place but, this bed had been manufactured backwards so that the connecting plug which is normally coming out the back of the machine was placed right smack in the front middle of the machine.Kinda hard to explain that one to the customer!!Well a simple two bed install has now turned into a two day affair!I basically had to disassemble the entire bench and reassemble it in a 8x6 room. There was'nt much else that could be done.I had driven 6 hours to do the install.Thankfully the salon owner was great! I showed her the problem and told her I could fix it but, it would take some time. When it was all said and done the bed was working fine and the salon owner and I went out for drinks when the job was done!If ever there was a "Friday made bed it was that one"
