Finding an Image

Could anyone help me out or direct me to a site where they found their image for their brochures, business cards etc. Everything I have found you can't get the copyrights to, to use it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Finding an Image

I know Getty Images is very popular but they might be expensive. I do own most of the time. Also your lotion suppliers and equipment company might have photos you can use.

Re: Finding an Image

The image I am looking for is a beautiful girl on the beach showing her tan line but I don't want a face shot just a body shot. We tried to use istock.com but we told them we wanted to use the photo as part of our logo for all of our promotions and they won't let us because it belongs to the photographer who lives in Argentina lol. So in other words we can purchase the photo but can't use it for what we want.

Re: Finding an Image

there are some software programs out there like "big box of art" 600,000 plus images that you can use but so can other companies that buy the software. i remember using the image of the girl with the dark blue shades then saw her on several different companies ads.

Re: Finding an Image

We just finished our brochures and most of the images we used were from iStock. Getty image is extremely expensive and are mostly used for media (newspapers & magazines).

What we did is slightly alter the image, by adding a different back ground, effects and other images to create our own.

Click on the image(s) you like, and towards the bottom of the page you will see FILE tools. Some images give examples of what other people have done with that image. You will these examples under "design with image". Please note not all images show "design with image".

Good luck

Re: Finding an Image

Try calling AG/SB/DS. They are very helpful in providing any images I ever need. We advertise on out local movie theater screen. We needed a very high resolution photo of the image I wanted. I called ETS and it took about 1 week to email me the file. I think they also sent it over on a disk for me.

Re: Finding an Image

Why dont you just go to the beach and take one?

Or just use google images..its not legal but if you cant see the face who really cares? I wouldnt use it on your website if you do this, but if you just use it locally for your business cards and flyers you should be ok. Or, if you want to be safe and ethical go ask a local photographer, I'm sure they will have something they will let you use for really cheap.
