Question Process on buying beds from this site

I see a lot of beds for sale, some are "skidded" <---- don't know what that means.

How are these sales usually processed to make sure the buyer and seller are protected? I've noticed several offer financing? How much does it cost (approx) to ship a bed?

Just more questions.........

Re: Process on buying beds from this site

Skidded generally means the bed is on a pallat and ready to ship.

Financing is generally available through a 3rd party not from the person selling the bed.

The only real protection is to go inspect the bed and transport it yourself. Any other way can be a real crapshoot. Shipping can be a few hundred dollars to a thousand or more.

Re: Process on buying beds from this site

If you deal with a reputable company, there shouldn't be any issue. Shipping really depends on a lot of varibles, ie: how big is the skid, how heavy, where is it going, do you need a lift gate to pick up and /or deliver. All of those things play in the cost to ship.

Skidded means = the tanning unit is on a palet and wrapped, and is ready to be put on a truck for delivery. Some companies charge extra to put a tanning bed on a palet.

Thanks for the definitions and explanations! Not looking at any in particular as of now - just wanted to be prepared if I saw something I "had" to have :)
