Hi there I have a customer who is having problems with tanning her face, she is really dark everywhere else but her face has like white streaks on it below her chin and above her mouth and around the side of her face. I asked if she was using anything on her face, she said sometimes tanning lotion but she also uses proactive, I did a little research adn i think thats what is causing her face to not tan ! Anyone have any other ideas or experiance with proactive and tanning?

Classy, I use Pro-active and always use a facial lotion, Sacred by DC. I have no problems tanning my face, I actually get quite a few postive comments about my complexion. I also tan quite easily. I only tan once a week.

My face use to tan super easy. I've been using Proactiv for over 3 years and my face no longer tans very well at all and it is from the Proactiv. Proactiv contains benzoyl peroxide which bleaches everything it comes in contact with.

So unless she wants to stop using the Proactiv and end up breaking out again, she's going to have to deal with the fact her face won't tan very well. Even using a facial tanning lotion with bronzer probably won't do much since whatever color she does achieve will just be stripped away when she washes her face.

Proactiv is TERRIBLE. Only good as a once a week treatment at best.

It's been a lifesaver for my skin. It's the only thing that keeps it clear and I've tried everything short of Accutane.
