Sonnerbraune Beds

I heard this company went out of business and it may not be a good idea to buy one of these beds. Been looking at 99-2000 model 844 gold. Any comments?

Thanks

Re: Sonnerbraune Beds

They are good beds. That one runs a little warm, but if the price is right and it is in good shape, could be a good purchase.

Jeff Valaska at Heartland Tan bought up most of the Sonnenbraun parts so while 1999 is getting pretty old, they may still be available.

Re: Sonnerbraune Beds

Only get it if it has "low miles" which would be under 2K hours. Over that don't spend more than $1000 or you are being taken.

Re: Sonnerbraune Beds

An 844 is a nice small VHR, probably going to go closer to 3-5K retail depending on condition, hours, if it is coming with fresh lamps or not, etc. Comparable to Pryzma, UWE Big Bear, Heartland Encore, etc.

If you have to re-lamp, plan on about $600-900 (depending on what you put in, if the HP facials need replacement as well).

If you have to replace an acrylic, these can run several hundred dollars as well.

Those are solid beds.I would not hesitate to pick them up at the right price. My 732 and 844 sonnes have been workhorses with zero downtime.

Heartland has a ton of parts for them.

KBL is Sonnenbraun, the KBL distributor may be able to help you with many of the parts.

Personally I believe that the best used equipment choice is buying equipment only a couple of years old. This gives you current models at great savings. On many occasions I have assisted with the opening new salons using used equipment.
