Refer a Friend? - Page 2

Referrals are the best business out there..you have one of your own happy customers telling freinds and family about your salon..why wouldnt you reward them? We opened March 07 and our current customers are our best advertising hands down!

As for compensation, it really depends on the experience of the person you hire..across the board we offer our employees free tanning and lotion as a benefit, but our designated "sales" persons get various commission for a range of sales. We are very high volume..so there is a lot of opportunity daily. I also run spiffs from time to time and make sure to include ALL staff..makes everyone feel involved.

I agree with Carribbean Tan Man 100%!! I have a small staff, 2 sales, myself and 3 bed cleaners..but making sure that their schedules are consistent keeps them happy and me too..They appreciate being able to plan things in advance..and not worry about their schedules changing. Keeps me consistent too to keep up on all the other things that we as owners have to do on a daily basis.

She's right - most under 18s are hardly even capable of taking care of themselves alone, let alone a business. Are you willing to risk your business with someone who couldn't get through a metal detector when totally naked? Think about it.

Refer is friend is awesome! We give a free tan or upgrade if they bring in a friend that signs up. If they bring in 3 or more friends that sign up they get a free lotion (usually something under $20).

My employees get paid hourly plus 10% commission on lotions only! People will buy packages anyway so they shouldn't get a bonus on that. They also get free tanning and 25% off all lotions...although I keep a bunch of samples and bottles in the back that they can use when they want.

i need to start a referral program . i like some of the ideas just wondering how to keep track of it in helios so that we know when someone gets the free tan or upgrade?
