Re: Off Season Income

Try doing body wraps, I t helps alot to bring in the money when tanning isn't. I do spray tanning, and body wraps, as well as facials using the same sea clay from the wraps. works awesome too. I also have the Rejuvasun Facial + sunbed. All the ladies love it cause they can come to use the facial without the tanning. Try a line of clothing that is original, I sell styleget dresses, and have started making my own redesigned for large ladies. I have bought lotion base and added bronzers and extracts + frangrances to sell my own brand of lotion. Buy bulk bottles and tops, make my own labels...BAM PL. My customers keep me busy for the face cream I make and sell and the after tan spray too. I figure I have so much down time I might as well do stuff to cut the overhead and make the bottom line.

Mindy

GOOD LUCK

Expect to struggle - from now until at least December. Things don't really break wide open until Feb. When we opened 12 years ago, we opened in June (How stupid is that?). Needless to say, we learned our lesson the hard way. Now when we open a salon, It opens in Jan. You really need to watch your p's & q's if you buy it now.

Re: Off Season Income

You should be able to look at their financials and get a good idea of what they bring in during those months. However, with the state of tanning these days I would seriously reconsider this purchase.

Re: Off Season Income

ITS NOT THAT WE HAVE A LACK OF THINGS TO SELL AND HAVE ACESS TO , ITS GETTING THE PEOPLE TO COME INTO A SALON IN AN OFF SEASON, PLAN NOT TO TAKE A DRAW AND HAVE MONEY TO LEND THE BUSINESS IF NEEDED, ANY LITTLE THING CAN HURT YOU, HERE IN CA NORTHRIDGE EARTHQUAKE HIT US HARD, WERE IN NORTHRIDGE. BAD RAIN WE HAVE EL NINO, WHEN THE OJ CHASE WAS ON YEARS AGO, EVERY PART OF THE COUNTRY HAS THERE NATURAL EVENTS, PLAN FOR THE WORST HOPE FOR THE BEST.
