Buying a Bed

Sorry, I am new to this whole tanning business. I live in Idaho and am looking for a tanning bed for my house. I have a friend that offered me the following bed for $2000:

Ergoline E450

Is that a good deal? How do I find the going prices for these beds?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Buying a Bed

Good deal. You can most likely convert that bed to single phase, but you'll need at least a 60 amp single phase breaker for it. Add these items to the cost of the bed. Also, how many hours on the lamps? Add another $750 for a lamp change.

Re: Buying a Bed

you'd never have to change the lamps in that thing though.

Re: Buying a Bed

Thank you everyone!!! I guess I have a second question. If it is such a good deal, what price could I sell it for? Also, is there somewhere that lists the prices of tanning beds? Like a Kelly Blue Book of tanning beds?

Thanks again so much!!!!!

Re: Buying a Bed

It never makes financial sense to put one in your home.

Re: Buying a Bed

You can sell it for about 3500-4500 dollars depending on condition. Yours is probably 2000-2001 manuf. year.
