Trying to get into the mobile sunless biz?

Hi everyone! I am trying to break into the mobile sunless market in my state. I am hitting brick walls at every corner from local government/board of health through the state. So far there are no licensing guidlines that they can find for airbrush tanning. Cosmetology doesnt cover it either. Now what? I have the training. Ive paid for equipment, etc. This is the first thing on my list and its a dead end right now. Does anyone have any advise for me? Im in the state of MA.

Soooo what's the problem? Put an ad in the paper and start spraying.

Maybe go to a salon that doesn't offer it and give them a kickback for referrals. Or better yet, maybe you can rent out a room from them by the day to spray.

Hahaha! Thanks for both your responses. Those are not far from what I am thinking honestly. If they cant figure it out...its not my problem!! Its like I live in the tundra here...there arent many airbrushers here....YET!! So its to my benefit right now. Thanks for the advise!! Keep it coming!

There really isn't much to tell. There really is no "laws" for spray tanning gig until you start making above a certain abount of $$$ anyway.

It's a hobby till you start paying taxes cause you are making bank. Best idea is to find some *** that refuses to do spray tanning (like me) and tell em you'll pay X amount for a room and you can use it as your "home base". Kinda like an ON CALL spray tanner.

Remember, you have to be TOP OF YOUR GAME or forgetit.

Find a bar and do facial airbrushes and hand out your cards.

So then if I get a DBA and EIN/FID # will I screw myself? Or just fly under the gun and keep it as you say a "hobby"? I want to be legit. My town already knows Im on the hunt...and its a small town..only 1 tanning salon. Word will get around. BUT I do go to the best salon here in town AND I think they are looking to get into tanning...so...I guess I better get on it right?

EIN/FID# is just your SS#. you are a one "man" show. No need to go nuts. Do it as you need. NO LLC or that crap. All a waste.
