New Salon...Ergoline?????

Newbie here fom Los Angeles...

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello and see how everyone is doing. I am Thinking of opening a new salon and everybody that Ive talked to says get ergoline beds .
New ones are so expensive so I thought maybe some a year or so used. I figure the minute someone tans on it its consider used just like a car.
Can someone give me some suggestions on what models are popular and work well?

I appreciate all your advice and help

Thank you

Ryan

Re: New Salon...Ergoline?????

Most everything available today tans the customers just fine, it's all in the lamps anyway. As a salon owner, Tan America is the only line I would ever buy - and I've worked on everything.

Re: New Salon...Ergoline?????

Good Luck Ryan in LA. If I had lots of money I would prolly like ergoline equipment. It has alot of features that most beds don't. Sportareedo is good as well. But I am not a professional so don't take my word. WELCOME.

Re: New Salon...Ergoline?????

Ergoline is very good equipment as is TanAmerica, used is fine as long as it is like new a year or so old with low hours. A successful salon requires the proper packaging, starting with used equipment sends the message that you are a second rate salon by comparison to another salon that is new and fresh and well packaged. If you are financially strapped causing you to limp into this business, you are likely to struggle.

Re: New Salon...Ergoline?????

In LA, the hottest bed is the Magic 636 (by Sun Italia)... average rate is $65 per session. We just bought that bed (we are 2 hours south of LA) and we are charging almost 1/2 the going rate in LA. LA is a great place to have a salon.

Ergoline is very well respected, and requested all throughout southern California, so that may be the perfect beds to use for your base and middle/upper tanning levels. We were looking at their top of the line beds, and for the money, I say go for the Magic for your high end HP. Some salons have 2 of these beds.

Lastly, I recommend buying the Magic new - they have modified the beds quite a bit since they were first released.

Re: New Salon...Ergoline?????

Yep, that's what I paid to try the bed out (in Los Angeles) ... the salon I went to would not release the rate over the phone, but PLEASE feel free to call a couple LA salons so reality can set in for you. Oh, that's right, you think Ergoline makes a terrible bed (that it only looks good). Your input? Simply invaluable.
