Or you can just ask/have the LL provide you with the demographics study for the area, since this is part of their scope of work when trying to lease a space. I have never leased a commercial space for anything, in my life, without having the LL provide me with the demographics study/report.

Also, make sure that it highlights a 3 mile radius. Don't take a report for the entire city, or a 10, 20, 30 mile radius. It does you no good for a tanning salon.

There are a ton of websites out there where you can also get this data on your own, FOR FREE.

I don't think that Steve is asking for money to help with the demographics. (If I'm wrong, someone please tell me.) I'm sure that he will want you to look at his products and services, but you can choose to buy from him or not.

My demographic reports are free and i have been opening tanning salons for 27 years. If there is a better place to get demographic reports that are custom designed for tanning please tell me where it is. There is no requirement to get the report except ask. I am just curious excitednewguy, why do we have to deal with this every time I offer to provide demographics? You should just let people get their free report from me and give your sarcastic post a rest.

How is me telling someone to ask the LL for a demo report a negative thing? This is who should be providing it if they are trying to rent a space. I never said anything derogatory about you or getting a report from you did I? Yep, didn't think so.

All I said was, ask the LL, make sure you get a 3-5 mile report, not a city wide report, and that there are other sources, if they need it, where they can get demo reports.

you guys are too dang sensitive, for real. There's nothing wrong with trying to help a fellow tanning salon owner/operator out. What's the difference in them getting it from there or from you? Nothing at all. There are no "special" demo reports for tanning. All demo Reports have the same data such as age/race/income/population/growth factors, etc. etc.

Stop being so sensitive!

The report that the LL provides always has more population than any report I have ever pulled. They are trying to rent the space, I am not. You can depend on my reports being unbiased. I also filter out information that is not needed when evaluating a space for a tanning salon. These reports I provide free that I pay for are made available to assist potential new salon owners. My trying to help people without wanting anything in return appears to make you crazy.

Dosen't make me crazy at all. I do the same thing.

As far as the LL's Demo Report being wrong, I have never gotten one from a LL that is wrong. You have to remember, the LL has a commercial broker usually doing the selling and leasing for them, so they are bound by the rules and laws of RE to make sure everything they provide is accurate. All you have to do is go to a site like demographicsnow.com to get this info. It's not rocket science

Re: first salon location??

WOW.......This sounds like a mud sling white tee shirtin cat claws drawn chick fight.... Quick pull up a crate to sit on....Whose bringing the brews you know the brewskies???

Seriously why don't you both bow out gracefull and realize your both trying to do the same thing.......HELP SOMEONE.....:)~ Good thought from all of you.....the only thing that worries me is $500 a week is what when converted $800 dollars roughly? Is that enough money per week? If other salons have closed there may be more to the story then is being said....Find the truth between the propanda sellers and the critics the truth never lies directly on the good or bad side
