Lets address the issue of there being too many salons. I agree 100% that there are too many struggling or failing salons. 90% of the salons in the industry are struggling or failing. this situation is not the result of over saturation. For every 9 salons that open that are headed for disaster, 1 salon is opened that will be extremely successful. Whats the difference in these salons? The one successful salon is doing all of the things that are required to be successful and the other 9 are not. So yes we should stop opening salons that are not going to make it. Being in the 10% that will succeed and grow is just as easy as opening a salon that will likely fail. If you don't know how to build and operate a successful salon, use a little bit of that gray matter and hire a consultant that will give you the tools to be in the elite 10%. Your time and money is to valuable to gamble with.

Steve, I understand your point. And I would hire you if I were new to the business. You are the best. But with as many people who come on here saying they are going to open and then others opening across the street from exsisting salons the saturation is getting out of hand. You have to admit it.
