Hi, Im looking to get into the biz, but no salon will hire me without being certified!!! I need to know where to go for certification, someone please help

Jnny, I doubt seriously if that is the case. You may want to look elsewhere to find the problem.

Obviously, I know absolutely nothing about you, but I do know that few salons will expect you to be certified before you are hired. So, what else could be the problem? What did you wear to go in and ask for a job? Were you displaying any unusual tattoos or piercings? Were you respectful of their time? It won't hurt to be certified, but if there are other problems keeping you from getting the job, you are wasting your time.

as far as i know very few people who are hired are certified, but it is very easy to become certified. just check out Smarttan.com.

I've never expected someone to be certified before I hired them. Something else is up here.

Most people who want to work at a tanning salon don't know anything about the industry, they just think it'll be "fun." So the thought of certification doesn't even cross my mind.

Some states require every employee to be certified
We couldn't hire someone here unless they are certified or like the girl we are training we paid to have her certified before even starting the training.
