I think I would have to add, re-evaluate your time management skills. There is only 24 hours in a day. Hard to balance bookwork, educating staff, home, kids, school, husband, housework, volunteer work, extended family, doctor and dentist appointments, family time, tantalk time, hiring, firing, checking email, social time, mentoring, counselling, shopping, and....still find time to sleep!

Have some extra lamps on hand!!!

Scottnmaria....Last year I had a salon open up directly across the street!! I still had a 20% increase but this year I am going to spank her for opening that close!! She probably thought she would get overflow from me. Why would you open an 8 bed salon across from a 31 bed salon???? btw there is no overflow these days!! Although I could be in trouble she sells baskets and candles!!

Oh yes, extra lamps are great. Along with starters as well.

I depends what kind of beds you have. And yes if they require starters, definatly have extras. Just in case. You might not have the time to wait.

teach your bed cleaners how to operate efficiently. Make them do a practice run thru. We have ours watch for a door to open, shoot in there and clean/restock/reset- 3minutes. Makes beds turnover much quicker. We once tanned 260 people in a 20 bed salon in 6 hours... Now that is bookin!!!
