stand, lay, or spray
Hi everyone. I have been scanning posts for awhile and finally decided it was time to become a member and ask some questions myself. I am starting a new salon which should be ready to open in November. That is what I hope for anyway. I am purchasing Ergoline beds. 5 250s, 2 500s, and an 850. I have had some people recently ask about a stand up booth though. I wasn't planning to get one right now because I didn't think there was enough demand for it. There is a salon close by with a Sundazzler and two older lay down beds. Her stand up doesn't seem to be very busy, so I didn't think it would be worth it to get one. I am now wondering since more people are asking for it. Also, I want to have a spray, but I don't have room for a booth unless I get rid of one of the beds. I am planning on buying a handheld, probably Norvell. I am interested in your thoughts and opinions on these decisions. Thanks.:)

Re: stand, lay, or spray
I would get 4 250's instead of 5.. and get standup! its a must.. specially since the beds leave pressure point marks that you need the standup to get rid of.

Re: stand, lay, or spray
I recommend you add the Sun Dash Radius 252 as your stand-up, and go with the hand-held spray tanning at this time if it is pheasible (timewise, that is) for you to offer that service. Good luck. Welcome to TanTalk! -Belvy

Re: stand, lay, or spray
YOu may want to rethink the spray booth. There is getting to be a greater demand for spray tans and unless you have a very good exhaust system, you'll end up with over-spray all over the salon.
