Re: stand, lay, or spray
Actually, I have looked at quite a few different spray booths. I was set on purchasing one in the beginning, but changed my mind because of lack of space, money, and demand. I feel like if I get a lot of business with the handheld, and enough people want the booth, then I can make some changes. Ram, I get the impression that you have had a lot of success with the spray booth. Which one do you recommend?

Re: stand, lay, or spray
I own the Celebrity Tan Booth. I do an average of 2-5 per day. I had to advertise and build up the business, but it has paid for itself. The booth is small and fits in a 6 x 7 room. It's only 10 seconds, self cleaning with an exhaust so it's quick and clean.

Re: stand, lay, or spray
Thats what I'm saying, there's problems with it because the client needs to know exactly what thier doing and be somewhat of an expert in the booth. People are stupid and don't always listen, so then you get a bad reputation for your spray booth because it didn't give them the results they were wanting.
And I have tried the spray booth before airbush came around here. I'm very tall and that poses another problem in the spray booth. That booth can not see how tall I am so my upper half didn't get near as much as my lower. Half of my arms got spray and the other didn't. I "heard" about the problems because I used to manage a salon and the owner always complained about having it. It was the Sun Shower. It was nice because there wasn't spray solution all over the room and it cleaned itself, but I would never have put a first time client in thier before thier wedding or some big event. That could have been a disaster. We just didn't have the best of luck with the Sun Shower. I'd rather trust someone who can see what thier doing and where it being applied with the spray gun. |

Re: stand, lay, or spray
I've never used the norvell, but Cal Tan is very easy. One of our spray girls is actually a high schooler, shes awesome and people request her alot of the time. So anyone can learn how to operate the spray gun and solution. We use the medium color solution unless the client specifically asks for the darker colored spray solution.
We do 25$ a session, then 3 for 60$. 5 for 95$. and 10 for 175$. Pluss then they usually buy the before and after care products by Cal Tan as well. |
