Re: stand, lay, or spray
Thanks. I talked to my distributor about it too, and he said I need about 150 people asking for the stand up booth to make it worth the money. I've only had about 15, but that was in a few weeks time. My 250s were buy 4 get one free, which is why I have 5. I haven't had anyone ask for the sunless booth, so I thought starting off with the handheld would give me a better idea of the demand for it in my area.

Re: stand, lay, or spray
We have a stand up, Radius 252. A few of our clients tan with us because they solely tan in stand up only. Everyone else does it every now and then to even out thier sides and armpits. The Sun Dash Radius 252 is the strongest stand up I've ever been in! Its amazing. Our stand up isn't used near as much as our lay down beds every day, but it has brought in more business than with out it.
Spray booths SUCK! I heard so many complaints. A local tanning salon here said it was the worst investment. You have to be a professional to have it come out correctly. We do the california spray tan here. You have to train someone to apply it, but it has been well worth it! Our spray girl even gets tips for her sprays. Handheld is alot more accurate than any booth. Pluss you make more $ from hand held. Ours is 25$ a session. The local spray booth here is 9.99$ Good Luck! |

Re: stand, lay, or spray
Thanks Dani-tani. Tell me, what do you like better about the Cal spray tan then the Norvell? Around here people are getting $25 for a hand held spray, or a spray in a booth. I guess that's pretty much the normal rate. Do you only charge by the spray session, or do you have a package system like 5 sprays for $100, or what?

Re: stand, lay, or spray
It's a shame that Dani-tani only "heard" about the problems. It would have been better and more profesional not to knock it till you tried it yourself. Also remember that there are several brands of spray booths out there. Some of the problems could have been that the customer did not properly exfoliate, the salon did not give proper instruction or the customer did not really understand what they were suppose to do.
