should i hire a consultant...

has anyone here used a consultant to start up there business ??

and if so who have u used and did it help your business to succeed?

the only thing im skeptical on is that there fee's are Free, but u have to buy there equipment for it to be free., i also dont want to be stuck with one brand of equipment,

any ideas or info would be great.......

Your local unemployement office has people that can assist you with Business Plans and consult with you for free. Give them a call and see. I was helped and also they gae me lots of literature regarding starting your own business.

the unemployment office?? i truly doubt that anybody there knows crap about the tanning salon industry. sure, follow her advice. i am sure they are a storehouse of information about the tanning salon industry. you need solid, experienced people, who know the tanning salon industry inside out. if you are going to invest potentially hundreds of thous into a tanning salon, why would anybody in their right mind go to the unemployment office for advice? consider a real pro, people like steve underhill, dan young, tommy toy, jerry deveney, to name a few. people who have been around the tanning slaon industry for at least ten years or more. as you know i have been critical of poor advice on this forum, and again, i urge you newbies to spend some money and do it right. if you don't have the capital, stay out of indoor tanning. this is not your type of industry. And if you are doing this on the cheap you are doomed to failure. sorry missyhot, but you have a lot to learn. leo
